    In The Sha
"I worry about your companions, Shinkir." Quanae stated.

    "Why?"

"There is fear and confusion in the one and the other... The other is troubled for reasons I can't define, though he hides it. They are not what I had envisioned when I sent you out to find your people."

"But they are my people." Shinkir countered. "I can't abandon them. If I didn't step in who would?" She looked back to Quanae who had paused.

"Just be careful. They may not have the same loyalties to their own kind that you do. I worry about you Shinkir. I always have, ever since you came to us." Quanae nudged Shinkir's shoulder before rubbing her muzzle against her neck. "Now, are you going to complete your original purpose?"

"Yes. I just need to get Kri. I wouldn't be here now if it weren't for her. I'd still be stuck. Once she's free we'll find a ship to Flumeri. Is he still there?"

"So far as I know. If he isn't there will be another that can teach you more about your people than I ever could. Stay and rest as long as you need and replenish your supplies. It it's good to have you back, if only for a short time."

"It is good to be back. I've missed this place."

    ---

    "I should come with you."

    "Quana, you can't."

"I should have gone with you the first time. They would never have had you."

"That might be so, but there's no way you could come the whole way. What ship would let a Shami'en just walk aboard?"

"What ship would allow a Shabenay to do the same, Shinkir?"

"It's far easier for me to conceal what I am, Quana."

Quana snorted. "It is time we went out of the Sha. In order to protect it the others need to realize we aren't some myth."

"You've been talking to Maetsin.". Shinkir commented, almost scolding.

"She might be a bit crazy, but she had some ideas before she left."

    "She's gone?"

"She left the year after you did."

"Oh, I thought she was out with the hunting party."

"No, she left, and tried to convince others to go with her. Quanae wasn't happy about it. Maetsin was one step away from banishment before she pulled out on her own."

    ---

Thoughts and snippets from the fourth chapter of Shifting Times.

Quana is Quanae's daughter. She and Shinkir grew up as sisters when Shinkir's family was killed. Quanae is the Ruler of the Sha. Not only is she the matriarch of her clan, but she is over all the Shami'en clans of the Sha Forest.

Shinkir initially left the Sha to seek out the last of Kirshtyn's guards and the last pocket of her people's culture that remains intact. That is when Iren initially captured her and took her to the Kistau Estate.

Because she was so young Shinkir does not have a whole lot of knowledge about her people. She has parts. She speaks and writes the language. She knows a little of the religion, what few of the stories she can remember. Quanae was able to tell her some. She knew Maylehn and helped Shinkir keep her language. Shinkir also knows much of the Shamien lore and culture. She grew up knowing she was Shabenay, however. Knowing she was different and didn't quite belong among the Shabenay despite being wholly loved and cared for.

Brehn had appeared when he got news of Ker's death. He felt that the Sha was a better, safer pace for Shinkir to grow. The journey back to Flumeri was no place for a child either. When she was ready she would come to him. He was getting too old for long journies, but he had to at least pay respects to his last and oldest friend, Ker.

Quana wished to join Shinkir on her journey, but the practicality of a Shami'en traveling overseas, not to mention their nearly mythic existance. There would be no easy way for Quana to follow beyond the coast.

Of course had Shinkir known the type of ship they'd be sailing on and who the first mate was it would have worked, or at least been plausible. There's still the issue of going through the port, though I guess they may not have been in a port town with Omat leading them so long as she knew where Joht and his shipmates were to be found.

And I think I'm going to leave it at that.

    What is this?
Two updates in two days? I must be broken (... or finally fixed...).

"Sir, we've had contact with Taeduhm who say they were attacked by a Shabenay as they were traveling east. She isn't as close as we suspected, another three days back."

"Just what we were waiting for! Iren exclaimed. "Load up, men!"

How big is Iren's Operation? He inherited Onven's enterprise, which expanded once rumor of 'shifters turned to fact. Iren runs the show, but he has three trusted men under him.

Symihr was promoted when the other lost [spoiler]. Symihr stays close to help manage the men. The other two are deployed with small groups to gather information. Iren keeps a tight hand on the money. His men know where their meals come from.

Despite Omat's passion, she is not in position to improve the standing of the Shabenay. Those that know of her generally dismiss her.

"You spent time with Hutners? You were on their side? They killed us! They are the biggest threat to our survival!"

"They were the only way that I could learn about the Shabenay and get fact rather than fiction. I didn't have ties to your world, I didn't know the Shami'en. I knew that the Hutners had knowledge and first-hand experience. They were the best source of information that I could find. I sought out Onven because I knew of his reputation and that his family had been Hunters since the Chaos Years. He knew your race and also respected them, in a way.

"You have no idea what I went through and experienced. You don't know what it menat to those I stood by and comforted in their last moments. I saved those that I could, but it was usually infeasable. I am too large to hide or be sneaky."

I don't know if Omat was with Onven while Iren was in training or not. She is in her 50's or so and, I think, Iren is around 30 or so... I think she would have been there before. I think possibly when Onven's father was still in charge.

    ***

“By Beneur, Omat, she looks like her mother.”

“She doesn’t know yet, and I don’t think you should be the one to tell her. When we reach port you need to tell Timky. And Joht … don’t’ show your Mark. She may not have been raised Shabenay, but she knows the Marks are passed by family lines. I think your sister should be the one to tell her.”

    Mri'tia
All of these are Mri'tia talking (sometimes with someone else). The first I'm unsure of the full situation, but it's definitely expressing frustrations, quite possibly to Sihren her closest friend and the only one who knows she is a Shabenay. The second set is Mri talking with Brehn, the last of Kirashtyn's guards to survive. This is towards the end of Merging Worlds, the first book in Shifting Times. The third might also be linked to that conversation or something like it. The last is Mri'tia talking with Sihren shortly after she runs into Rirhe, Shinkir, and Aitnu. Shinkir was too flooded to recognize the other Shabenay, Rirhe as well, though he is also too new to really differentiate between individuals. Aitnu recognized Mri'tia as a Shabenay, but said nothing, as he is prone to doing.

    ***

“I want a life! I want a family! I want to be able to walk down the street as I am without having to watch my back. I want to be in my own skin without fear. I’m tired of having to hide what I am. I’m tired of having to cover these Marks. I’m tired of worrying if I can hold form when I get angry, or sad, or tired, or afraid.

“And I know if I just go somewhere alone or just with others like me it is not going to solve the problem. I don’t want to be a martyr, we’ve had enough of those and there are too few of us to even make it a viable option. We have to be smart about this. We have to show them how we really are, what we are really like.”

    ***

“You, Mira, are in the best position to help your people. You wear your rank around your neck. You’ve had it so long I doubt you realize you even have it. As a Master of your Craft you are best positioned to set the first stone rolling. The Kierr might not always be above superstition, but they are organized and united in their crafts and trades, moreso than any other race.

“Yes, I know you were born Kierr, I can still hear it in your voice. All the better as you have their respect as a Master of Craft as well as a kinsman.”

Mri mumbled something, hoping the others would not hear the admission. While she would trust these with her life she was not yet ready to link her life as a Shabenay with being Mri’tia Kierbah.

    “What was that?”

“I’m not just a Master.” She repeated.

“Are you an instructor in one of their schools?”

“No… I’m… I’m a representative of my craft and region.”

“Ah, all the better, nothing to be ashamed of.”

“I am not ready to expose myself. I have to make it back home in one piece and attend the Assembly without such whisperings over my head.”

“I understand. I take it Mira is not your real name then.”

    “No, sir, it is not.”

    ***

I don’t know if the others would have known then that “Mira” was not her true name. If not, it might be a slight shock to her companions.

“I have to protect myself! I spent twenty years hiding what I am and building both my craft and reputation. To lose it all because someone could not hold their tongue or another heard my name in the same breath as ‘Shabenay,’ that would be too much to bear.

“I will be known on my own terms. No one else’s.”

    ***

“I could feel them feel them as they came closer. I had to help them, how could I not? They were so young, it was like seeing myself twenty years ago.

“And three of them! I went years without seeing a single one and three fall in my lap! I have to find them Sihren. I don’t know how I’ll manage it, I have so much to do here…”

“I’ll help, Mri, who knows when you’ll get another chance. You just have to be back before the Assembly.”

I wasn't an assassin. I never killed people for money.

I was called many things, certainly, they had all heard the rumors. I was called a traitor to my race and many things far worse. Only my supposed victims knew the truth and that was the way that I kept it. They sacrificed, certainly, but what is a finger or an ear in exchange for one's life?

It was better that I got to them rather than the Hunters. The Hunters were merciless, they made public displays and reveled in their work of death. They tortured and displayed their "prey." In their defense, if one can defend such people, many of them had suffered direct loss from the Shabenay. During the Guards' foolish raids of retribution on the Human race they made many enemies.

There was at least one, however, who was a betrayer of his race. He pretended not to hear when his brothers and sisters called him out. He hid as best he could from his fellow Hunters that he was Shabenay. He used our ability to sense each other against us and he even thought to come after me. That one I do claim, but it was in self-defense. No one paid me to do it.

    Of Bentair and His Get
    Bentair-
Founder of centered fighting style, focused on personal defence, but used offensively as well. Fused Tynomai and Kierr fighting styles while using it to heighten focus and improve one’s control over self and, alternately, the ability to shape-shift.

He created the basic principled with particular emphasis on balance in all things.

His progeny are often found employed as elite guards for rulers and others. They are known to be focused and to have exceptional control for both body and mind.
    Birth: Age of Birth?

    Ky’ing-
Great-grandson of Bentair, born before the Trade Wars, passed away during Trade Wars or YP (Years of Peace). Was a great teacher and warrior, did much good during the Trade Wars.

In "modern-day" Kashian (i.e. where the comic is set), there are only a half-dozen or so of Bentair's line left, at least those that carry the Mark. There are some that still carry his blood, but not the Mark.

Kyng, I think, is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He might have some nieces and nephews still alive, but no siblings. A rather interesting story is emerging from him, though. As stated before, he was the body guard for a family of Frineir on Kreih for generations during both the Chaos Years and the Five Empires. At some point, one of the Donseh daughters fell in love with the Shabenay guard, which, in the beginning at least, was much to Kyng's annoyance. I believe they had children, but I don't know if any of them ended up being Shabenay or not, but either way, by the time he meets Hierreth around early 200 RO (Rising Order), none of Kyng's children were still alive. It's sketchy about his other descendants, but there is a certain Donseh who did become a Shabenay, which probably notes a connection to Kyng himself. I'm debating as to whether or not this Frineir would carry Kyng's (and in turn, Bentair's) Mark as it skipped a couple of generations before the ability came up again.

I don't know how much I should spill out here, but the relevance to "Shifting Times" is so far into the future of the story I don't know if it really matters what I say now. Either way that's all you get out of me for the moment!

It's good to be back in the swing. I do need to start inking more pages as I'm running out of my buffer.

The flats for 27 are done and inks for 28 are done, but after that I need to get my butt moving.

I've done some art the last couple weeks concerning Kashian, specifically in relation to Kirashtyn's library.

As mentioned before Kirashtyn was the ruler of Kashian at one point, pretty much the whole thing in his hey-day. He was killed, though not assassinated, which I go into detail elsewhere. Anyway, Kirashtyn's library is equivalent to the library in Alexandria on earth, and was thought to have suffered a similar fate. Well, it technically did, but what wasn't known was that there was a second library tucked away in the Sha forest that had copies, as well as some originals, of the manuscripts in the one that was destroyed.

There is a rather large boulder that covers the entrance and takes some doing to move. Omat was shown it, though I don't know if it was by the Shamien or possibly Timky. I don't think the Shamien would feel ownership enough of it to feel proper about showing it to a non-Shabenay, so it was probably Timky who would be one of the few living who would know where it was at.

The worn stair meanders down several feet before it opens into a tall, broad chamber. The first thing that greets you is a series of pillars, each one carved with the different species and races of Kashian's "intelligent" people.

Each group holds up the pillars together, suggesting unity among all, though I do believe that at this point the Shamien aren't viewed equal just yet (the Shamien don't mind). At any rate, the two central pillars have six figures, one of each species, and one along the back wall with five. The four (two on each side) that offset the three central pillars also have five each. There are (or were) skylights to provide natural light. The ceiling slopes downward as you move beyond the center with its colossal pillars. There are many rows of shelves that stretch up to the ceiling and are, for the most part, carved stone. There might be a table or two that survive as well as some chairs here and there.

This becomes a source of much of Omat's information. She brings Shinkir, Rirhe, and Aitnu here and Mri'tia joins the group here as well, having tracked them down after their encounter.

    Conversation snippets and other musings
As part of my New Year's resolution (again) I'm going to try and post in here more.

Of course, the first big news is that
Page 25 is finally finished )

    "Are you related to Kri?"

    "Kri?" Joht asked.

"The burnette girl with the scars."

"What would make you ask that?"

"You feel similar ... like you're related."

    "It might be coincidence."

    "The sense doesn't lie."

"You've been around a lot of Shabenay for one so young."

    "I ... I don't know."

    "How could you not know?"

"These are the only ones I've known."

"You speak Maylehin, boy, they can't be. It's not a language you can just pick up. Only one who has been around other Shabenay would learn it. You speak it better than Shinkir even and she is Ker's own get."

"I don't know how I know it. I just do."

"Who were your parents? Mother at least?'

    "... I don't know."

"How can you not know? You and orphan?"

Aitnu looked at his hands a moment and shuffled his feet uncomfortably. "I don't know."

"Now how can you not know that?"

    "...I ... I uh, can't remember much before three years ago. It's ... it's empty."

    "Ah, I see."

    "What?"

"You can't remember becase something made you forget."

    "How ..."

"You see a lot of things when you live a few centuries. I've known men who had horrible things happen to them. So bad they couldn't remember, they didn't want to remember. But even though they no longer remembered, it still haunted them."

    ---

I woke up and it was raining. There was grass everywhere. Long and thick and tall. It was soft too. The rain was cool and it tasted so good.

I didn't know where I was and it didn't matter. This was perfect, this was peaceful.

    ---

I don't know if Aitnu ever remembers what happened to him before he showed up in the grasslands outside of a Roomir port. The memories of it haunt him through flash-backs and nightmares, but I don't know if he ever really remembers it. I think at some point the truth about where he came from, who he was, who his family was, and why he was taken will come out. Actually, I know it will, but how quickly and in what manner exactly I'm unsure. I know Hierreth would know his line. Omat would know it too, I think she knew his parents, and Kisday definitely knows it.

I'm bursting with all of the things that I haven't revealed yet. I can't wait to get further on in Shifting Times so I can start cluing people in. Of course, one "secret" is ousted in the prequel, but I don't think anyone picked up on it ... but that's okay.

I just can't wait to throw Rirhe off a roof. I don't know why, but I find pleasure in drawing him spazzed out.

    So much for that
I failed miserably in the attempt to update this somewhat regularly this year. That is okay.

And now I have come to a complete blank as to what I was going to type.

I have a couple major lines for the Shabenay figured out.
Bentair-founder of the fighting style that Kyng and Hierreth use (Kyng being a descendant and Hierreth one of Kyng's students). I can't mention more because it's all spoiler-y. One of these days I need to get my butt moving on the graphic novel so I can stop sitting on everything.
Rohtdin- A great Admiral before Kirashtyn's Reign (KR), he helped secure the trade roots in, if I'm remembering right, northwestern Roomir. Timky, Mavin, and Joht hail from his line. Joht is currently a pirate, but was once an admiral himself, in charge of a section of Kirashtyn's fleet. Timky, his sister, didn't follow the family business, but was a messenger and liaison between the Shabenay and Shamien.
Ker- One of Kirashtyn's guards. Partly to blame for the Shabenay's current situation. Shinkir's grandfather.
Some of the other major lines include Kirashtyn's other guards and Kirashtyn himself. I need to delve deeper into the history of Kashian pre-KR so I can find more of them.

    Have some story-blurps )

And I plan on updating [info]lemyes and [info]tae_kahn next week with information and story blurps.

    The Website and Kyng
If you haven't checked the Kashian Website I suggest you do so! I finally got up the information concerning the Chaos Years in the History section. Possibly over the summer I might manage to get some more detailed information up on the various races and some character/people profiles going. I'd also like to finally get some images up of the various races, animals, and plants, but that might be hoping too much.

Just the same though, there is an obscene amount of information tucked away on the website for those interested. I keep on forgetting how much is actually on the site.

I've been nosing about trying to dig up some information on Kyng as I was thinking I might try RPing him at some point to get a better feel for him.
    Information on Kyng )

And just curious: Leave a comment if you actually read/saw any of this. I know this place is rather comment-devoid and I often end up speaking to myself, but I guess that's what it has been, a place to air my thoughts about Kashian without bothering those who aren't interested.

Alright, on to the meat: the Tykabyn are otter-based and as such spend a lot of time in and around water. While listening to NPR today doing a report on the architectural innovation going on in Holland I had an idea. Being very water-oriented, wouldn't the Tykabyn have created such "floating" houses as the dutch are doing now? I don't know if I have time to do much sketching along those lines, but I think I might at least make an effort. The important thing is getting the idea down so it's not lost.

    Accomplishments
The Shifting Times Prequel was finished back in May and I consider it quite a major accomplishment. It's in the process of being edited, though the first run-through is complete and I hope to refine and expand it a bit further. I'm also hoping to get some illustrations done for it and then package it up and have it published, probably independently.

Shifting Times is shuffling right along and I have the background finished in the large first panel of page 21 as well as the flats down for everything else. I think working the background first is a bit easier and pushes me more than shuffling around with the characters first.

Relationships are starting to hammer out and things are coming along nicely. I've also managed to hammer out some relationships between the Shamien and Shabenay and am excited to get moving again on this.

    Wish me luck

    News
Sixteen pages finished, however page seventeen probably won't be finished until May. School has really eaten my time for personal art this semester. During the Summer I will be pushing myself and trying to get extra pages done in order to make up for February and this month that and attempting to get a stock-pile of extra pages so this doesn't happen again and I can update despite attacks of that thing called "real life."

Chapter three is currently being sketched and written simultaneously, I believe I have up to page 20 inked, but I'm embarrassed to say that page 17 only has its flats and some of the inking still needs to be reworked. The good news is that I think I've discovered a couple of tricks that might just make coloring a bit faster.

It seems I've found a couple people who seem genuinely interested and have allowed me to talk their ears off on the bus. It makes me happy being able to share some of the story and having people ask questions about it. It makes me feel like I might actually be able to do something with this, that it might make it beyond the small beginnings it is currently at. Its good to see people interested in the story I want to tell.

    Moving along
I've managed to finally finish part seven of the Shifting Times Prequel. Yay! I've also mapped out the last three parts (8-10), but I haven't managed to actually write the events.

As always, Kri is being quite difficult and doesn't want to cooperate. She's angry and irritated about her situation and just wants to get out, but doesn't know how to do it, which leaves her frustrated and uncooperative. I have a feeling I'm going to have to rework the dialouge for parts six and seven a few times before I'm happy with them.

Kisday knows things, or at least suspects things about Kri. Kri, however is proving to be quite the puzzle and none of his assumptions are adding up. Of course, no one gets to be informed until I finally make it to part two of Shifting Times. Of course, two characters actaully know what's going on with that, but they're not saying anything just yet. Mwah ha ha! I'm so evil.

I have three more parts to write. Part eight is the first year, the routine; Kri's escape plans and trial runs. She gets into trouble. Kisday's patience runs low. Part nine we have the first introduction of Omat. Kisday's "surprise" for his friend and the meltdown between them. Omat storms out shortly after seeing them. She is powerless to negotiate for their freedom, but she can at least kill her support for their capture. We also see Shinkir and Kri separated, Kri is moved into manual labor and Shinkir continues tutoring Kisday and sharing conversation with him, however she is getting quite stir-crazy. Part ten is the climax. Kri finally hatches a viable plan. Shinkir didn't know of it until it was in motion. Kri retrieved her sword first before finding Shinkir and setting her loose as well. They were spotted shortly before climbing the wall to the outside. Kisday's men were sent out and Shinkir barely escaped. It will end with Shinkir vanishing beyond the walls and Kisday's call for Iren.

Kri struggled and spat, clawing and biting as the guards jumped back to avoid her wrath and others jumped forward. Her adrenaline was so high that the first Kona dart hardly fazed her. The second slowed her down, she stopped shifting after that and the third dropped her.
Tsumajh Kisday was cursing soundly, a rare moment of discomposure.
"Get me Iren, NOW! I want him on Shinkir's trail immediately!"
"Yessir!" The Kierr ran off to complete the request.
"Pick her up and follow me." Kisday was scowling fiercely as he lead the tight band of guards that carried Kri's limp body.

    Omat Zashier
Some more detailed information about Omat and her links to the Shabenay and others. It also gives a rough timeline and where she's been along with what she's done and knows.

And a quick note, Amrea develop much quicker than the other races/species. They are considered adults at 5, though not being fully developed physically until 12.

    The Comic
General over-all information concerning the comic.

    Cast:
    Shinkir
A 17 y/o Shabenay who escaped from the Kistau Estate where she and Kri were kept as servants and "trophies" of sorts. In an escape attempt Shinkir was the only one to make it out. She promised to return and rescue Kri and has spent the past six months ditching Iren and trying to make her way back.

She was born Shabenay, though her family was killed when she was five years old. She was raised in the North Sha by the Shamien and the past two and a half years have been a large lesson in how to act in the "civilized world."

    Iren
Iren is a Hunter, these not only hunt Shabenay, but will find anyone, or anything that they are paid to find. He originally caught Shinkir and Kri for Tsumajh Kisday and when Shinkir escaped, he was put on the trail again.

    Rirhe Ahkgany
Rirhe is 14 and was once a Keine Frineir. When we meet him in the comic he isn't entirely stable emotionally. He ran away from his home town with the help of a friend and is battling the reality of what he is and the meaning of it.

    Aitnu
Aitnu is 16 and was born a Shabenay. He has issues with his memory and can't remember much of anything that happened before he was 13. Since then he's learned at least parts of a half dozen languages, including Common Tongue, and has become a first-rate pick-pocket.

    Omat
Omat is a Zach Amrea in her 50s and has spent most of her life researching the Shabenay

    Mri'tia
Mri'tia is in her 30s and has spent the last 20 years hiding that she was a Shabenay. She is a Master Swordsmith and also is a representative of the smith craft for her area.

    Kri
Kri is 16 and currently sitting in southern Roomir at the Kistau Estate. She hails from a village in Mehm where she lived until her first 'shift at 11 and was consequentially run out of town. They believed her dead, and she likes to keep it that way.

    General Plot:
Kashian is currently at a time of transition and turmoil. With the sudden reappearance of the long-dead race, the Shabenay, fear is running through the general public and suspition has run wild. The Shabenay are struggling once again as they try to rediscover who and what they are. The comic/graphic novel follows what is essentially the revival of the Shabenay. It is about roots, self-discovery, and recognizing and accepting the past. It is quite a long story and I don't know how much time it will take to tell it.

    Steadily marching forward
I have 9 pages done on the comic and page ten has reached the coloring stage, which is oftentimes the most laborious.

I've also managed to get the first six parts of Shifting Times written and seven has been started, but trying to get Kri, Shinkir, and Kisday to have a conversation is very, very painful. That and Desta isn't helping any, being more of the silent type.

Kri is combative, she has been betrayed, drugged, and then locked in a cage for two weeks as they traveled to the Kistau Estate. Her goal is to get out, and possibly seek a little revenge on Symihr. She doesn't want to hear anything that Kisday says and she's having a hard time keeping her balance, so to speak, as Kisday goes against just about every assumption she has when it comes to other people being around Shabenay.

Shinkir doesn't trust Kisday, granted, she doesn't trust anyone apart from other Shabenay and the Shamien, which, it must be noted, she trusts a little blindly. She's blown away about Kisday's aparent knowledge of the Shabenay and wants to bombard him with questions.

Then there is Kisday. He knows a bit about Shinkir, he chose her and one other to be brought to the estate. Unfortunately, the other choice managed to escape. To him, Kri is a wildcard. He knows a bit about the Shabenay as a whole and, well, trying to say it lightly to avoid revealing too much, Kri intrigues and confuses him.

So Kisday is zeroed in on Kri, Kri wants nothing better than to get out of there, granted, she's determined to help Shinkir out as well, and then Shinkir is trying to get information from Kisday, leading to a rather hard-to-write scene, but one that needs to be pushed passed in order to get to the last two parts that should move much faster.

Character Birthdays, Deaths, and other miscellaneous stuff
The first set of numbers is the birth date of the character (day, month, and year). Those with a number underneath signifies the death date. You'll notice that I have no idea when most of them will finally kick the bucket, but at least I have a good idea of when everyone is born. Keep in mind that the comic/graphic novel starts in the third month of year 263 Rising Order.

    Births and Deaths-
    (In order of birth)

    Trade Wars
    Unknown Rohtdin
    15 YP

    Years of Peace
    72 Kirashtyn
    703 KR

    10.8.124 Brehn
    270 RO

    Kirashtyn’s Reign
    25.4.605 Timky of Rohtdin
    21.7.610 Joht of Rohtdin

    Chaos Years
    93 Kyng
    259 RO

    Rising Order
    29.11.192 Onven
    1.7.253

    200 Hierreth
    205 Kavren
    1.9.246

    1.9.208 Derin Donseh
    253

    13.2.210 Omat Zashier
    218 Tsumajh Kisday
    5.10.225 Teinek Donseh
    3.12.225 Iren
    26.5.228 Mri’tia Kierbah
    231 Mavin of Rohtdin
    30.9.240 Symihr Sethsohn
    1.1.246 Shinkir of Ker
    17.10.246 Kri
    14.7.247 Aitnu
    9.12.248 Keit Donseh
    12.4.249 Rirhe Ahkgany

And a couple of notes, you will probably notice that there are three Donsehs up there. One being Keit, Rirhe's friend and the one who helped him run away. The other two are her mother (Teinek) and father (Derin).

Kyng and Hierreth belong to the same story line. I'm not sure if Hierreth will make a debut in Shifting Times or not, we'll just have to see.

Timky and Joht are brother and sister, Mavin is Timky's son.

When you wee the "of -insert name here-" it is a Shabenay designation of one's family line. See one takes the name of the closest and most famous relative that one is directly related to (i.e. parent, grandparent, great+20 grandparent) Mavin could probably get away with saying "Mavin of Timky," but one doesn't usually take on the name of their parent (unless he or she is passed on).
